Chico State to Open Admissions for Spring 2014

In formulating our enrollment plan for 2013/14, we set our targets with the possibility of enrolling as many as 900 new students in the spring.  Now that the budget has passed, the CSU Chancellor's Office has announced that campuses in the CSU will be expected to achieve the initial targets given to us in March of this year.  For Chico, this figure equates to 14, 363 average total headcount.

Beginning August 1, Chico State will accept applications from fully eligible upper-division transfer, out-of-state transfer, international, credential students, and most graduate programs.   The following graduate programs will not open for spring 2014: anthropology, communication sciences and disorders, nursing, psychology, social work and recreation.  Post baccalaureate students seeking a second bachelor's in nursing will be able to apply.  We will not restrict applications to the local admission area as in recent spring cycles but we will be closed to first-time freshmen for the spring 2014 application cycle.

Undergraduate students must apply no later than August 31, 2013 at midnight at www.csumentor.edu.  The deadline for graduate students to apply is September 15.  International undergraduates must apply by September 30.
